Grade 12 students of Indian schools in the UAE were ecstatic and breathed a collective sigh of relief after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its annual board examination results on Saturday, May 26.
School administrators and students told Khaleej Times that they are delighted with the results, and the latter have especially commended their teachers, saying they would not have been able to achieve these results without the teachers' help and guidance.
The CBSE is India's biggest school board and globally, 11,84,386 students registered to attempt its 2018 Grade 12 final examination. A total of 918,763 students passed the exam that took place in March-April. From the UAE, a total of 6,696 students sat for the exams.
