The UAE Armed Forces on Thursday announced signing deals worth Dh20.95 billion during the five-day run of the International Defence Exhibition (Idex) and the Naval Defence Exhibition (Navdex) in Abu Dhabi. On the final day of the expo, 20 deals worth Dh904 million were inked.
Staff Brigadier-General Mohammed Al Hassani, official spokesperson of the exhibitions, said 15 local and five international companies secured contracts on Thursday, with Abu Dhabi-headquartered International Golden Group (Dh222 million) and Germany-based Atlas Elektronik (Dh170 million) grabbing the top deals.
“The total amount of deals with the local companies amounted to Dh511 million while the total amount of deals with international companies amounted to Dh392 million,” Al Hassani told reporters during the closing day of the exhibition.
