Dubai Police have announced that motorists can avail of discounts on traffic fines during the Year of Tolerance. Drivers can get up to a 930 reduction on the total accumulated existing traffic fines.
The initiative was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
In a press conference held at the Dubai Police General HQ, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, said the initiative"

After six months, the motorist can pay Dh5,000 only, and if the driver did not commit any traffic violations for a year then the entire traffic violation amount will be waived.
