Four warehouses gutted in Ajman Industrial Area fire

Ajman civil defense managed to extinguish a fire that broke out Tuesday midnight in four warehouses in the industrial area.

Talking to Khaleej Times, Brigadier Salih Saeed Al Matroushi, Director General of Ajman Civil defense said that the operation room received a call about the fire at 11.30pm, after which the fire fighters immediately reached the site.
The fire initially started in one warehouse, but due to strong winds, it spread to the other three warehouses destroying all its content, including steel metal and building materials.
The civil defense also evacuated the labour camps in the area for safety of the workers.
The fire fighters managed to control the fire in a short time, preventing it from spreading to other neighboring warehouses. The operation continued until yesterday afternoon before the site was handed over to forensic experts for determining the cause of the fire.
