Four teenagers, aged 15 to 19 years, were killed after the SUV they were travelling in met with a gruesome accident in Ras Al Khaimah late on Friday.The accident happened along Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed road, close to Exit 122.
Col Mohammed Al Bahhar, head of traffic investigations and control, RAK police, said they were alerted of the accident at 6.55pm.
"Traffic patrols, ambulances, civil defence men, paramedics, and rescue teams were dispatched to the site in a record time."
According to police, three Emiratis and one Asian resident suffered fatal injuries. The accident also injured three Emirati teenagers. 
Preliminary investigation found that a burst tyre due to speeding caused the accident.
The deceased were shifted to the morgue, while the other three were rushed to the hospital.
