Filipino dies in Sharjah vehicle collision

Sharjah - The police held the truck driver for causing the accident due to lack of attention

A 48-year-old Philippine national died on the spot as two vehicles collided on Zubair Bridge in Al Hamriya on Wednesday.
The accident involved a pickup van driven by the deceased and heavy truck driven by a Pakistani driver.
The police received the information at the operation room at 3pm and dispatched team of traffic expert, patrol and ambulance to the site in short time, who found the pickup driver already dead.
The police held the truck driver for causing the accident due to lack of attention.
The body of the deceased shifted to the morgue and Al Hamriya police station launched an investigation into the accident.
