According to Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm, all public parking areas will be free of charge, except for certain parking zones that are paid on all days of the week, including official holidays. These include: Al Hisn Street (bank complex) in Al Shuwaiheen and Al Shoyoukh areas, Corniche street (both sides), Qays Ibn Abi Sa'sa'ah street, Central Souq parking spaces, Corniche street (Khalid Lagoon side) and University City Road.
The municipality will continue issuing fines for violators who park their vehicles illegally.
