A Saudi tourist took to Twitter to praise the Dubai Police for their "crazy quick action" after they solved his problem overnight. The tourist was in Dubai recently and had rented a car against a Dh1,000 deposit. Since he left Dubai in a hurry, the rental office did not return his money.
He mailed the police one evening, and the police solved it by the morning, he said.
"He complained that during his visit to Dubai, he rented a car from a rental company through their office at the airport and had paid a deposit of Dh1,000. When he returned to Saudi rent-a-car firm failed to return the money and nobody responded when he tried to contact the office."
After receiving the mail, the police contacted the rent-a-car office immediately. "They confirmed that they would refund the money as per the contract, within a specific time. The police conveyed this to the complainant within a few hours after receiving his complaint."
