A 59-year-old drunk Indian man drowned after he jumped into the sea from the Khalid Port in Sharjah. The incident was reported on Friday.
According to the police, the Indian got drunk and walked around the ships in the port. He then decided to jump from the land to a ship anchored at least one mile away from land. He thought the distance from the land to the ship was much shorter. And in the process he drowned.
The port authority informed the police who rushed to the area and removed the body of the Indian, identified as JF, and shifted it to the forensic department which revealed that the deceased was drunk.
