Ravindra Boloor, winner of the Dh10 million Big Ticket, is yet to be informed of his recently-acquired fortune. Richard from the organising team of Big Ticket Abu Dhabi has reached out in a video to the people in Mumbai asking them to help him look for Boloor.
Big Ticket Abu Dhabi, UAE: Your ultimate guide to participating
Boloor, an Abu Dhabi-based Indian expat, won Dh10 million in the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi raffle draw, which was held on Wednesday.
However, Boloor remained unreachable over the phone on both his local and Indian numbers to hear the news of him being an overnight millionaire.
When Richard, who conducts the raffle at Abu Dhabi International Airport, finally got through, it was Boloor's daughter who was at the other end.
"Please call after a week. He is out of the country. He is in Mumbai," his daughter said. When Richard persisted that it is an important call and will make Boloor very happy, she said: "Please call tomorrow. I will tell him about your call. He isn't reachable now. He will return to Abu Dhabi on April 27."

This is the fourth consecutive time that an Indian has won.
Filipino wins with 1996 ticket
Separately, Filipino expat Nestor Suzon won a prize for being in possession of the oldest ticket - in a new 'Bring Me' game started by the organisers. Suzon's ticket dates back to June 20, 1996. "I have been here in Abu Dhabi since 1989. It was in 1996, when I moved to Bahrain, that I bought this ticket for the first time. I am back here in Abu Dhabi since 2010.
"I read about the Big Ticket giving prize to the holder of oldest ticket. Then I remembered that I had this ticket in my old bag at home. When I got back home from work, I found the old ticket. Even last year, I had just gone through my bag and found this ticket," he said, noting that his 1996 ticket is one of two tickets that he has kept safely.
"The other one is for the Dubai Duty Free draw," said Suzon, who works at the Abu Dhabi Health Services. His daughter Nessa said her father was confident of winning. "I was the one who wasn't expecting."
Suzon won a phone and a free ticket for the Dh15-million draw for next month.
