Sharjah Police have started an investigation into the death of an Egyptian national, whose body was found in a decomposed state in his flat in Al Butaina area.
The police received complaints from tenants of the building about a bad odour emanating from a flat. A police team comprising forensic, Criminal Investigation Department officers, rushed to the site and broke into the flat and found the body.
The deceased was identified as 52-year-old A.S.
Initial investigation revealed that the deceased passed away four days before and his body was completely decomposed.
Police referred the body to forensic laboratory to determine the cause of the death.
