Car catches fire on Mohammed bin Zayed Road

Ajman - The driver was changing lanes when he crashed into another vehicle. Two people were injured.

Two people were injured after a car caught fire on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Umm Al Quwain at 3 pm today.

According to the police, the driver was over-speeding and illegally overtaking vehicles, which resulted in a collision with another vehicle.

The car was completely charred and two occupants were injured. It's not immediately clear how many passengers were inside the car.

Lt. Col. Saif Al Falasi, Deputy Director of Traffic and Patrol at Ajman Police, said that the reckless driver crashed his car into another vehicle bring driven by an Asian.

The driver was changing lanes from the left lane to the middle lane when he crashed into a vehicle. The car caught fire on impact.

The injured have been shifted to hospital.
