Adek announces 7th edition of science fest
The region's biggest science festival will take place from November 9 to 18.

Abu Dhabi - According to Adek, this year's science festival offers a rich schedule of unique activities and events developed for two distinct locations - Khalifa Park and the Al Ain Zoo.

Science and technology today is not only a career but embedded in everything in our social life and environment. This is why it's a top priority for the government, said Dr Ali Al Nuaimi, of chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek). 
Al Nuami made the comments on Monday during a press conference to announce the 7th edition of the Abu Dhabi Science Festival (ADSF). The region's biggest science festival will take place simultaneously at both Khalifa Park and the Al Ain Zoo from the November 9 to 18.
"We want to teach our daughters and sons that innovation is the way forward now. We need to encourage them to be innovators and inventors," said Al Nuaimi.
He noted that the UAE government is keen on developing human capital and support all initiatives and educational projects that develop the new generation of outstanding talents in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Stem) field. 
According to Adek, this year's science festival offers a rich schedule of unique activities and events developed for two distinct locations - Khalifa Park and the Al Ain Zoo. 
Adel Ahmed Albuainain, CEO of Dolphin Energy Limited, one of the festival sponsors, said: "The Abu Dhabi Science Festival has become an important platform for enlightening the UAE's young minds on the importance of science and encouraging them to pursue productive careers in Stem subjects."
