A speeding car violating lane traffic rammed into another car in Ajman and injured seven people, said a senior police official.
Major Saif Al Falasi, Deputy Director of Ajman Traffic Police, said that due to the impact of the collision, the second car crashed into an outlet and damaged the glass window.
He attributed the accident on Ajman's Al Kuwait Street to speeding and failure to abide by traffic rules.
According to Major Al Falasi, the Arab driver, identified as A.M.K., drove his car straight on the lane designed for left turn and rammed into another car driven by an Arab woman. The woman lost control over the wheel and crashed her car into a shop nearby.
The accident caused moderate to minor injuries to seven people, including both the drivers. The injured include three Arab women who were travelling in the second car and two Asians who were sitting inside the shop.
He said the police patrols and ambulance arrived at the accident site immediately and rushed all the injured to the Khalifa Hospital.
Major Al Falasi urged the motorists to follow the regulations and speed limits to avoid accidents.
