 The Sharjah Police have arrested a 43-year-old Asian man within 48 hours after he allegedly stabbed a compatriot to death over some financial disputes. The accused has been referred to the public prosecution after he reportedly confessed to the police to having committed the murder.
The murder was reported from Al Mussala area.
The suspect was arrested on Saturday in Umm Al Quwain, in coordination with the UAQ police. He told the police that he stabbed the victim with a knife.
According to police sources, the operations room received the information on Friday about the body of a man found on a street in Al Mussala area. The police team reached the site where they found the victim's body lying in a pool of blood. The victim had stabs in various parts of his body.
The police team shifted the body to the forensic laboratory and collected fingerprints and other evidence from the crime scene.
The police managed to identify the suspect after interrogating many others. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to his crime.
