A fleet of 350 cabs, including two for people of determination, was recently launched in the emirate by the Ajman Public Transportation Corporation (APTC).
The new cabs would cover the districts of Muzairi and Masffoor to meet the growing demand of residents, said Omar Ahmed bin Omair, director of the APTC. Online booking is available via a smart app.
Tariff on taxi companies that operate under the APTC will remain at Dh2.5, which is considered cheaper than those implemented in other emirates.
Besides expanding its fleet, the APTC has also ensured that the new cabs are environment-friendly. They are all hybrid vehicles equipped with tracking devices that can be monitored through the firm's control centre.
Passengers may address all their inquiries and complaints to the APTC centre. With the latest technology and best practices in place, it can also facilitate taxi bookings round the clock.
