The Department of Anti- Economic Crimes of Dubai Police arrested the three Asians who forged a residence visa and submitted it with other documents to obtain a visa to enter Schengen area illegally.
Major General Khalil Ibrahim al-Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation, confirmed that the Department of Economic Crimes had received a complaint from the French Consulate that it suspected that the UAE residence visa was forged.
Major Gen. Al-Mansouri pointed out that the Dubai Police formed a team to follow it up and verified that the particular residence visa - which is issued by the Directorate General for Residency and Foreigners Affairs - was fake. The first accused applied for the Schengen visa through an office dealing with the French Consulate. Dubai Police coordinated with the consulate office to arrest and bring the accused to book.
Colonel Salah Buaisiba, Director of the Department of Economic Crimes, explained that the first and second defendants came to the office in order to receive the visa. The Dubai Police nabbed them.
