Fujairah - The accident caused severe damages to caravan and its contents leading to huge loss of properties.

A major fire has destroyed 23 caravans at Murbeh area in Fujairah on Monday morning, according to authorities. However, no casualty has been reported and the 225 workers on the site were evacuated to safety.
The incident has prompted the Fujairah Civil Defence to intensify inspections and issue warnings to owners of warehouses to abide by fire safety rules.
The civil defence team has also prevented the fire from spreading to 97 other caravans in the vicinity.
An official said the civil defence operation room received a call at around 7:35am about the fire and a team of fire fighters and ambulances were sent to the site.
Brig Al Tunaiji said that the site has been handed over to fire experts at Al Fujairah Police following the cooling operation, to determine the cause of the fire. The accident caused severe damages to caravan and its contents leading to huge loss of properties.
The inspectors are currently visiting the establishments to ensure that all companies are obtaining periodical maintenance contracts with approved fire equipment maintenance companies.
