Traffic on major roads leading to Dubai are heavily congested according to tweets from @TrafficDXB.
In one tweet - using Google Maps traffic data, it shows that roads from Sharjah inbound to Dubai are facing long tailbacks. These roads are the Dubai-Sharjah Road, Beirut Street and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes if they wish to reach Dubai as early as possible. 



Roads are also congested along the Dubai-Al Ain road near the Zayed University.


Several stretches of Sheikh Zayed Road are also facing traffic building up. These stretches are the ones near FGB Metro Station and just before Noor Bank Metro Station.
