The events are being hosted in conjunction with the Ministry of Interior and other traffic departments of the UAE. They started on March 10 and will end today. Maitha bin Udai, CEO of the RTA, said training workshops are being held with a focus on how to protect family members from traffic accidents and the importance of having a child seat onboard along with the use of the safety belt.

The awareness events of the week revolve around the theme of the Gulf Traffic Week — “Your Safety is Our Goal”. The events are aimed at improving community members’ perception of traffic personnel and enhancing the positive image of traffic organisations which work towards improving the traffic safety of all.

Parking inspectors and traffic awareness team supervisors from the agency have been deployed in several main car parks in Dubai to distribute complimentary juices to drivers, coupled with small gifts including key information about safe driving.
