New Metro station to open on Red Line by Sept 30
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will start operating a new metro station named ‘Energy’ on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro by September 30. The new station is expected to benefit 2,500 passengers daily.
Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb, director of Rail Operation at RTA’s Rail Agency, said that the Energy Station will have the prospects of acquiring additional income for the authority by renting retail store and ATM locations and selling rights of the station’s name.He added that a plan has been set, which guarantees the provision of bus services from and to the station and its surrounding areas.
