Dubai - A heavy truck overturned on Al Khail road in Dubai on Sunday, which resulted in a heavy traffic jam.
The accident was reported at 9.30am, but the traffic jam that ensued lasted till afternoon.
Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police, said the truck turned turtle after deviating from its lane.
A part of the goods that the truck was transporting fell on two cars on the highway, causing some damage.
Cranes had to be called in to remove the truck from the road. -amira@khaleejtimes.com
