The business community in the UAE have until October 30 to submit their nominations for the 7th Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (Dast), the registration process of which starts on September 1.
The Higher Organising Committee of the award at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) urged the UAE business community, comprising public and semi-public entities as well as private firms operating in the UAE to expedite the submission of their nominations for the award.
“Registration in various categories of Dast can be made through the award’s portal,” said Nasir bu Shehab, Deputy Chairman of the committee. The ID is http://www.rta.ae/wpsv5/links/dast/index.html.
The committee announced earlier this year the introduction of a new category to the award, Smart Transportation Applications. The award will have two new subsidiary categories — Sustainable Transport Projects contributed by university and school students, and the Most Frequent Users of Public Transport Means in Dubai. — lily@khaleejtimes.com
