According to the Municipality, it will start the asphalt maintenance work on the street from tomorrow and will continue till Sunday to leverage roads efficiency in the Capital and cosmopolitan areas, ensure safety and security, and improve traffic flow for all road users, said the Municipality in a statement.
“The Al Falah Street between Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street and the Eastern Street will be closed during this period with a traffic diversion set up to close two traffic lanes from both directions. The maintenance works include replacing the asphalt layer and re-paving asphalt coating layer in addition to carrying out maintenance work on roads assets surrounding the street,” the department said.
The Municipality, in collaboration with the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police also called upon motorists to be extra cautious while driving on the street and adhere to the specified speed limits at all times, follow the traffic instructions, traffic signals, and security and safety controls.
“With maintenance works on the street, motorists should ensure smooth traffic flow so that they reach their destinations in a hassle-free manner,” the statement further explains.
The Municipality is currently carrying out a series of periodic maintenance on road networks in the Capital and suburban areas to achieve world-class high standards of safety for road users and maintain roads readiness and efficiency and ensuring smooth and easy traffic flow. -news@khaleejtimes.com
