Shoun Roger's all-round performance lifted Sealine Tuskar to a comprehensive 69 runs victory over YTCA Al Sama in the boys under-13 final of the Ramada Gulf Cup T20 cricket tournament, a Press release said.
The tournament is being held under the aegis of the Ajman Cricket Council at the YTCA Durham Cricket Academy in Ajman.
Shoun was the hero of the day as he came up with a splendid unbeaten knock of 52 runs to help Sealine Tuskar post 125 runs for three wickets in 20 overs.
Ritik Sunil (23) and Akash (22) also made some useful contributions for the Sealine team.
In reply, Shoun produced a brilliant spell of off spin bowling against the YTCA batsmen. Shoun claimed four wickets while giving away just 10 runs which helped him bag the man of the final award. Mujataba (2 for 12) and Ibrahim (2 for 13) gave Shoun good support. YTCA Al Sama's Raeid Ali (18) and Siam Hussain (11) were the only batsman to shine. YTCA Al Sama had something to cheer when Mohammad Faraaz was named the player of the tournament for scoring three successive half-centuries.
