Top UAE sportswomen Sarah Issa and Rouqaya Ali who recently joined the ranks of the national service, were honoured at a function by the Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC).
The Sharjah Women Sports Department celebrated Emirati Women's Day last week at the Sharjah Ladies Club and the celebrations continued this week with the support of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Nada Askar Al Naqbi, head of the Women Sports Department at Sharjah Ladies Club, said: "In accordance with the guidance and directions graciously extended by Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Ladies Club, and the wife of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, we are always working on reflecting the great achievements of Emirati women."
