Yodhin to miss T20 tie against Oman

 The UAE are gearing up for the Asia Cup T20 qualifier and will take on Oman in a Twenty20 game at the Zayed Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
The Asia Cup T20 Qualifier will be held in Bangladesh from February 19 to 22 with the four Associate members - Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and the UAE playing each other. One team out of the four will qualify for the main event which involves India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The UAE are undergoing a transition with three senior players having retired and it provides an opportunity for some new faces to stand and up and show that they belong. But Yodhin Punja, one of the bright young talents coming through, will not feature against Oman on Sunday.
The 16-year-old, who was selected for the ICC Interncontinental Cup and the ICC World Cricket League Championship fixtures against Hong Kong, has an exam on Sunday and will miss the game. Yodhin is a Grade 11 student at The Cambridge High School. Yodhin, who was impressive in a tour match against Pakistan, will play in the T20 tour game against England.
"I was pretty upset that I can't play against Oman but thankfully, there is the game against England that will be a good opportunity," Yodhin told the Khaleej Times on Saturday.
