The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met family members of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Riyadh on Tuesday, state run news agency SPA said.
They met Khashoggi's son Salah and brother Sahel at the royal palace. The report said King Salman and Prince Mohammed offered their condolences to the family of the journalist.
Saudi Arabia's cabinet on Tuesday said it would hold accountable all those behind the murder of Khashoggi "no matter who they may be". The cabinet will "hold accountable all those who have failed in their duties no matter who they may be", read a statement published by SPA.
