Ramadan cannons in two new Dubai hotspots

Dubai - People of determination and the elderly will also participate in the cannon's firing.

Dubai gears up for Ramadan with six cannons this year, two of which are new - one in City Walk and the other in Madinat Jumeirah. 
The four traditional locations of the cannon from last year are Musalla Deira, Mamzar, Musalla Mankhool in Karama, and Burj Khalifa, as reported in Al Roeya. 
Assistant General Commander of Dubai Police, Major General Mohammed Saeed Al-Marri, said police will wear classic uniforms whilst manning the cannon areas.
People of determination and the elderly will be able to participate in the cannon's firing.
Police will use classic land rover vehicles. They will also distribute souvenirs in the shape of cannons to all participants at the firing.  
Firing crews were trained in the proper safety procedures whilst manning the artillery. They must report for duty three hours prior to Iftar.
