The rainy weather experienced across parts of the UAE on Sunday will subside by early afternoon today (Monday), according to a spokesperson from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Residents got a taste of some rare wintry conditions on Sunday, as light to moderate rain coupled with sandstorms hit parts of the country.  Dubai's popular family attraction, Global Village, announced it would be closed to the public due to the bad weather.
"Due to prevailing weather conditions, and in order to ensure the comfort of our guests, the Global Village will not be opening its gates today, Sunday, February 3. Doors will be open again on Monday, February 4," it tweeted.
Weather conditions are expected to improve slightly today (Monday). And although skies will remain cloudy through Monday and Tuesday, rain is expected to stay at bay.
"The weather we are witnessing is due to low pressure in the atmosphere. That has also brought it with a cold wind and a fall in temperature. Rainfall will subside by Monday afternoon, however, the cloud formation will persist until Tuesday late afternoon," the spokesperson said.
On Sunday, there was a drop in temperature of six degrees in parts of the country and on Monday and Tuesday, we can expect a further drop of "about two to three degrees in Dubai and Abu Dhabi".
"Early Tuesday morning, we can expect temperatures of 17 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi and 18 degrees Celsius in Dubai. Expect fresh northwesterly winds to blow across the country on Monday and Tuesday too, with the highest speeds reaching 40kmph."
Temperatures will pick up by late morning on Tuesday, but with cloudy skies and fresh winds it will feel colder than usual.
On Sunday, the Ras Al Khaimah Police also made announcement on its official social media handle saying: "Notice: We would like to inform residents that the road leading to Jebel Jais has been closed."
