Emirati Salem Mohammed Yousef Obaid Al Kaabi was recently honoured by the Dubai Police for returning a wallet that contained cash worth Dh12,000.
Brig AbdulHalem Muhammad Ahmad Al Hashmi, acting director of Al Qusais Police, said Salem found the wallet in Dubai’s Abu Hail area and immediately handed it over to the Al Qusais Police Station.
Recognising the Emirati’s honesty, the Dubai Police invited him to their general headquarters and presented him with a certificate of appreciation, encouraging others to follow his example.
At the ceremony, Salem also thanked the police, saying he was happy and proud to receive the recognition.
