The UAE has strongly condemned the Iranian-backed Houthi militias’ systematic attempts to target the oil tank yards in the port of Ras Tanura, and the facilities of Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, through a booby-trapped plane and a ballistic missile, which were intercepted by the coalition forces.

In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), the UAE said that the continued threat of these attacks in recent days is a grave escalation that represents these militias' attempts to challenge international laws and regulations.

The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated actions that target civilian and vital installations and the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that the recent continuous attacks are a dangerous escalation, and a new evidence of these militias' endeavour to undermine security and stability in the region.

The MoFAIC reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom over these terrorist attacks and reiterated its stance against all threats to Saudi’s security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The statement emphasised that the security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and that any threat facing the Kingdom is considered by the Emirates a threat to its security and stability.

The Houthi attack was condemned also by Kuwait, the UK, Qatar, Egypt and other countries.
