Dubai-based OPM pinoy rock band Xalbaje have released their debut album Breaking The Silence for digital streaming in the Middle East. The album consists of eight original songs, and can now be be streamed across the GCC via music application Anghami, the region’s own version of Spotify.
With Liza Uraning on vocals, and Joven Peralta on guitar alongside bassist Xandro Aquino and drummer Tsiz Cortes, the band has also recently been shortlisted to compete at Dubai’s Hard Rock Rising for a chance to play in Barcelona, Spain.
“We are happy to have our songs heard across the GCC, and more Filipinos, like those based in Saudi, are able to listen to them. Of course, we’re definitely excited be part of Hard Rock Rising. It’s such an honour and just to be able to perform our original songs is already a dream come true. If we win it will be a bonus”, says vocalist Liza Uraning.
Xalbaje is also performing live at The Fridge, Al Quoz on April 10, with other talented Filipino bands for Sessions DXB.
