Okay, let's us begin this story by saying that the Big Mac is not really the healthiest meal in the world. But who isn't guilty of indulging in McDonald's iconic burger every once in a while? Here's an interesting fact about it - Not all Big Macs are created equal.
According to a Telegraph report, the Big Mac is priced differently depending on where you are. For example, a Big Mac in Switzerland costs $6.35 (Dh23.32) while you pay $5.06 (Dh18.58) for the same burger on the United States. So where is the cheapest Big Mac in the Middle East you may ask? The answer: Egypt.
The same report states that a Big Mac in Egypt costs only $1.46 (Dh5.36) making it the cheapest Big Mac in the world. McDonald's outlets in the UAE sell the burger for Dh14 ($3.81). So doing the math, you can get three Big Macs in Egypt for only a couple more dirhams for a single one in the UAE. Hey, when your craving calls for it, you've got to eat, right?
