Dozens of Houthis killed as clashes rage on in Yemen

Difference between the militias loyal to ousted Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh continued amid on-going military operations by the Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi's popular resistance fighters to liberate the areas under rebel control.
"Battles raged in Al Jamjaliya, Jamea Al Dawa and Jamea Al Tawheed districts, east of Taiz as well as Isaifiyra, Al Mofatish and Jabal Al Wash, north of the city", said a statement issued by the popular resistance on Monday.
The statement said that gunfights resulted in killing of 29 armed Houthis.
Sources said the in charge of the operations room of Houthi militias on Hudaida Ammar Abbas Al Moayyad was killed in air strikes of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's warplanes at Al Dhahi directorate.
The popular resistance said it had advanced in Al Misrakh directorate, south of Taiz, and managed to repel Houthis from Al Ghagah, Al Jabiba and Al Jinaid hills.
"As many as 11 resistance fighters were wounded on Monday," the statement said.
Forces continued pounding the positions of the Houthi-Saleh alliance troops.
A source was quoted by the Pan-Arab Asharq Al Awsat daily as saying that as the complete liberation of Sanaa is drawing near, campaigns have been launched with the move to attract the tribes who are dwelling in the perimeters of Sanaa to join the forces
The tribal leaders and popular congress party, which was once chaired by Saleh are intensifying meetings inside and outside the city.
The source added: "The advancement by tribal and partisan leaders came in view of a rift between military and conventional powers that back ousted president Al Saleh."
