Board of directors of Al Ain Farms restructured

General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has issued a resolution restructuring the board of directors of Al Ain Farms for Livestock Production under the chairmanship of Mohammed Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi.

The resolution also named members of the board of directors as follows: Rashid Ali Al Nuaimi of Al Ain Municipality, Rashid Mohammed Ahmed Dora Al Kaabi of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Fatima Mohammed Al Balushi of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Al Hallaf Abdelrahman Nasser Al Ahbabi of Department of President’s Affairs, Jassim Saleh Jassim Bu Subai of General Holding Corporation and Mubarak Matar Al Humairi from the Royal Group.

du appoints SMG as media agency partner

UAE-based telecommunications service provider du has appointed Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) as their media agency partner.

The win followed a multi-agency pitch that spanned over eight months. SMG will handle du’s media planning and buying, as well as data and analytics for the brand’s offline and online business.

SMG presented du with an integrated communication model based on harnessing data and deriving insights to create human experiences that would further build the brand. The strategy is focused on achieving a more efficient and agile media strategy keeping up with the rapid pace of change in human and media behaviours.

Rubber World Industries wins new contract

Rubber World Industries (RWI) has been awarded a contract by Diamond Developers to provide over Dh2.4 million worth of building materials, particularly the Gulf-O-Flex range of products, for its Dh1.1 billion Sustainable City project.

Located in Dubailand, the development will be composed of 500 G+1+R villa units and is set for completion in 2015. The community will feature a school, a university, a planetarium, a country club and a community centre with retail and coffee shops.

The first 100 villas are expected to be completed before the end of the year. In addition, the community will also have a green belt with 20,000 trees and a 5,000 square-feet-long water canal, a 600,000 square feet solar park and a water management system that will recycle 100 per cent of waste water.

Developed by Diamond Developers, the project’s consultant firm is Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants.
