In the first semi-final, Seven Seas Strikers crushed Spartans C.C. by a massive 145 runs.
Batting first, Seven Seas Strikers posted a colossal total of 300 for the loss of 8 wickets in 25 overs. Salman Randhawa played an outstanding, winning innings of 167 not out, which comprised of 20 4’s and 10 6’s; whilst Gulam Shabeer contributed with a healthy 77.
Hassan of Spartans grabbed 3, whilst Abrar and Shabbir claimed 2 wickets each, respectively.
Chasing, Spartans C.C. failed to impress, collapsing at just 154 runs in 18.4 overs. Hassan and Shahid Ali top-scored with 34 and 30 runs respectively. Farhan attained a 5 wicket haul; whilst Freddy Sidhwa claimed 2 wickets.
In the 2nd semi-final, Yogi Group beat Golden Line by 4 wickets. Batting first, Golden Line scored 160 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 25 overs.
Contributions were made by Andre (30), Nadir (28) and Kavin (27). Shiva Pagrani and Ambey grabbed 2 wickets; whilst Babar, Ajmal and Samad attained a wicket each.
Chasing, Yogi Group comfortably attained the target, scoring 161 for the loss og 6 wickets in just 17.1 overs. Shaimon Butt scored an excellent 73, comprising of 10 4’s and 5 6’s.; whislt Ayoub and Ambey assisted with their 31 and 20 respectively.
Bahadur claimed 3; whilst Lush attained 2 wickets.
The tournament is being held under auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council, and is organised by Seven Seas Sports Club. All matches are played at the DIP cricket ground and the prizes are donated by Al Barakah Pastry and Juices.
