The U-19 team from Our Own English High School, Fujairah, comprising of Roshan Joseph and Allan Paul trounced Indian High School, Dubai in the semis after a stiff battle in the initial rounds. The final saw a fierce competition with lengthy rallies for each point after which the Gems School from Fujairah clinched the gold by defeating Indian School, Sharjah.
In the under-14 category, Rajat Kumar, Abdullah Sherif, Omar Sherif and Shehil Mohammed from Our Own Fujairah, battled DPS, Sharjah in the semis and finally overpowered arch-rivals St. Mary’s, Fujairah to bag the gold in the category.
Both teams will represent UAE in the CBSE National Finals in India in December
