Members of the DPS Sharjah team
DPS Sharjah thrashed DPS Dubai by nine wickets in the first semi-final of the under-13 category. The Pan UAE cricket tournament is being held under the aegis of Sharjah Cricket Council. DPS Dubai won the toss and decided to set a strong total on the board. But it didn’t go according to plan as DPS Dubai were bundled out for a paltry 51.
DPS Sharjah boys were like vultures on the field as they not only blocked the runs with their brilliant ground fielding but also took some brilliant catches. Vivek Aditya and Hannan Nisar were the only two batsmen who fought back as they scored 16 off 36 balls and 14 off 11 balls respectively.
Chasing a modest total of 52, Devnath and Hari Krishna looked to finish it off quickly. Devnath scored a fine 15 off 24 balls, while Hari Krishnan scored 19 off 16 balls. There was no much fight left in DPS Dubai as DPS Sharjah recorded a nine-wicket victory.
Maxway Player of the Match was awarded to Hari Krishnan for brilliant show.
