The UAE's interior design and fit-out market is on solid growth track, industry experts said at a time when globally companies reel from the impact of coronavirus.
Local luxury furniture retail chain 2XL Furniture & Home Decor is on a massive expansion mode. The company opened a new showroom in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, and eyes Saudi Arabia and Oman markets.
Suood Al Sadi, general manager, 2XL Furniture and Home Decor, said, "This is a very significant milestone for us as we continue to expand our footprint in strategic locations across the UAE."
The new store at the Galleria Al Maryah Island is second one to be opened this year after January launch at Al Ain Mall.
Despite the ongoing crisis with coronavirus, the company is optimistic about the outlook for the year.
"We have opened two stores in three months. We now have four stores in Abu Dhabi City and 11 overall the UAE. We plan to open more stores and work is underway. We will be opening in the UAE and also Saudi Arabia and Oman," Amit Yadav, head of marketing, 2XL Furniture & Home Decor, said.
Yadav said there is no reason to be apprehensive about the present situation.
"We have flow of customers. We are expanding and doing well. We understand the present situation but are optimistic about things. We don't see any reason to be scared."
