He is also a partner in Two Spoons Hospitality, a retail company established in Dubai in 2014. This is how the busy tech enthusiast maintains a healthy work-life balance.
Playing tennis
In the chaotic and challenging world of start-ups, life after work is a luxury. However, you always need some form of a break to re-charge and keep the creative juices flowing. I enjoy playing tennis twice a week. It's been a passion of mine since I was a kid, and I've always tried to keep it a part of my life, no matter what job I'm in. These days, I feel like playing tennis is like hitting a punching bag - when I hit that court, I imagine the tennis ball as something I want to pulverise. It works too!
Watching movies and shows
I'm a movie buff - let's get that straight. Whether it's the latest blockbuster at the cinema that I watch on a Friday, or the TV series I watch for about 15 minutes before I fall asleep on the couch after a long day of work, it's just another way I like to unwind.
Hanging out with my baby niece
I recently became an uncle. So my number one Saturday priority is going to see my beautiful little niece, Mia. It's strangely therapeutic hanging out with an 8-month-old baby and asking her advice on coding and UI design. Her responses are always very honest.
Going for mini-trips
Every few months I try to get away to clear my head, re-energise and get inspired. Different places always offer a different perspective. Plus I like to experience different cultures and really get immersed, even if it is just for a few days.
Watching football
The old ladies of Juventus have a big place in my heart. I'm a diehard supporter of the team and I never miss a game. Even if I'm in the middle of a meeting, my phone updates me with the scores. We're on a good run so that keeps me in a good mood. Forza Juve!
