Having lived in Dubai all my life I want to thank the authorities for successfully launching the Dubai Metro. What a great success it has been.
A couple of years back I decided to relocate to Al Nahda, an area that is well connected to the metro. Since then I have been using the metro for my daily commute. I have been able to avoid traffic snarls and save on Salik, petrol, and paid parking. Over the last 10 years, the metro has become a salient feature defining the excellence of urban planning. It is surely the most convenient and fastest way to move around in the city. The feeder buses that help connect residences nearby to metro stations, add to the convenience.
Whether you are going to your office, health clinic, park, gym, hospital, school, college, a metro ride can take you there without much stress. Can we now imagine life without the Dubai Metro?
