We need to follow certain norms and etiquettes during these trying times. The opinion column Be civil and kind during the coronavirus crisis (KT, March 24) suggests some good points. Along with not shaking hands, wearing a mask or diligently following 'stay at home' advisory, people also need to be mindful of some basic norms and etiquette. A lot of us are stockpiling, which might not be the right thing to do. Small supermarkets/ groceries are running out of necessary stuff as the panic-stricken buyers are emptying the shelves.
There is enough for everyone, if we think rationally. Our governments and leaders have assured us. At this juncture supporting each other, being thoughtful and rational is necessary. It will ensure equitable access to all to the products they need.
