About 3,000 guests from all over the world attended the second edition of the event which took place at Safisa Palace from June 10-13.

The visitors included luminaries from the showbiz world, political and other prominent figures from the Arab world, buyers, art connoisseurs, and other eminent people.

Guests turned out in striking outfits on the 'purple carpet' and were treated to a wide range of 'Eastern' brands in the showroom section of the venue and Demi Couture and Haute Couture 2020 collections on the catwalk.

The event, organised by Meroving Production company, opened with a performance by singer Asta, followed by a display of new collections by Naira Arutyunian, Asmaraia, Kibovskaya, Ikat ME and Baronessa on Day One. The next day's programme featured Sevda Fashion House, Anastasia Kiefer Couture, Michael Leyva, and Cinco. Most of the collections on display have not been showcased in the market before.

The Ikat ME show featured a performance by singer Sevil, finalist of The Voice and Aliana, a participant of the reality show, Dom.

Cinco, who has wowed audiences all over the world with his couture gowns, closed the show with a walk by Russian model and beauty pageant titleholder, Ksenia Alexandrova.

The closing day had performances by singers Niki, Maxim Zavidia and Asta. The finale also featured a show by designer Michael Leyva that featured ballroom dancing champion, Elena Uspenskaya, sashaying on the runway. She walked the ramp in a magnificent wedding dress with a five-meter trail.

Danil Kosenkov, known for his work on the Wild Orchid show and Russian Top Model, was the director of Al Arabia Fashion Days. Founders of Al Arabia Fashion Days Luiza Ave and Lana Avye gave away the prizes to the winners.
