JBR resident Marie Louisa tells us what she enjoys about the community
AS A MOTHER of two and FlyDubai pilot, Holland native Marie Louisa says Jumeirah Beach Residence is the only area in the city she has considered living since moving to Dubai five years ago.
Citing its ample walkways and convenient location, she believes the family friendly atmosphere is what keeps her there.
“It’s gorgeous,” Marie said. “Especially the new development on the beach.
“You don’t need a car and you can walk everywhere, which is great with the kids. We are still missing a play area, but on the plaza level it is quiet. My husband and I thought about getting a villa, but we wouldn’t have all this outdoor space.”
When it comes to dining options, Marie said that The Butcher’s Shop was a favourite for a snack and Cucina Mia in the Marina passed her Italian partner’s authenticity test.
“I hope more restaurants open in the new development, because along The Walk it is mostly fast food. That is okay for the people who show up at 1am, but I would like a few more good restaurants.”
