State Department spokesman says Washington backs a deal to halt the fighting and free hostages

If you're after something different for an iftar experience, this is a definite must this Ramadan. Not held in your typical opulent tent, #ThisIsNotABuffet is a pop-up food concept within a warehouse space in the yard of Alserkal Avenue.
You can break fast right in the heart of Dubai's creative community during this first of its kind Iftar, surrounded by some of the most prominent art galleries, design and community spaces in the city. The month long Iftar nights will run seven days a week until Eid, where the warehouse will take on a contemporary Arabian ambiance. The public will be able to enjoy an alternative dining experience with a specialised menu by Elements where patrons will be able to choose from two- and five-course menus ranging from Dhs90 to Dhs210. From lobster tacos, edamame hummus, avocado and vanilla & zartar caramel mini beef brisket shawarma - sounds drool worthy.
Alserkal Avenue will also be running an Instagram campaign #TogetherAgain to emphasise the idea that Iftar is about togetherness and reconnecting with friends and loved ones. And what better way to spend time with family and loved ones than through trivia nights, board games nights, and enjoying music nights featuring traditional Middle Eastern instruments that are also being hosted at #ThisIsNotABuffet.
In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, Alserkal Avenue will donate 5% of the revenue generated to charity.
Five things we loved about #ThisIsNotABuffet
Art: What better place to have Iftar than in the hub of art and culture? Take a stroll after your meal and have a look at some of the galleries that are open and check out some regional talent.
Music: The live music with traditional Middle Eastern instruments is both soothing and entertaining.
Games: This is the best for all you competitive types out there! There is a wide range of games for you to chose from to play with friends and socialise with other guests.
Food: The food is delicious with an interesting twist. Our favourite? The edamame hummus!
Relaxed: The easy, fun atmosphere and low seating chairs are super comfortable.
