Name change for hospitals, clinics in Dubai

DUBAI - Following the news in October that majority shareholder Mediclinic International had acquired all remaining interests in EHL Management Services, the company’s new brand was unveiled today by Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and Dr. Edwin Hertzog, Chairman of Mediclinic International, in a ceremony at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Now known as Mediclinic Middle East, which reflects its position as one of the world’s leading healthcare providers, all hospital and clinics which are part of the group will come together under a single Mediclinic name:

- Welcare Hospital becomes Mediclinic Welcare Hospital

- The City Hospital becomes Mediclinic City Hospital

- EHL Dubai Mall Medical Centre becomes Mediclinic Dubai Mall

- EHL Arabian Ranches Clinic becomes Mediclinic Arabian Ranches

- EHL Meadows Clinic becomes Mediclinic Meadows

- Welcare Clinic Ibn Battuta becomes Mediclinic Ibn Battuta

- Welcare Ambulatory Care Centre becomes Mediclinic Al Sufouh

- Welcare Clinic Qusais becomes Mediclinic Qusais

- Welcare Clinic Mirdif becomes Mediclinic Mirdif

- Emirates Diagnostic Clinic (closed) becomes Mediclinic Beach Road (opening)
