The Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a part of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), launched the service on Monday after requests from residents located on the outskirts of Al Ain. It is a 140-km drive from Al Wagan to the Al Ain centre.

“We are confident the introduction of the service will ease the effort of traveling to the centre,” said Mohamed Hawas Al Sadid, acting director of AHS’ Disease Prevention and Screening Centers. Pick-up points will be from AHS Healthcare Centres in Al Qua at 7.15am and Al Wagan at 8am. The service is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Visa screening services are offered from Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 3pm.

The Disease Prevention and Screening Centre offers specialised services in the prevention and screening of communicable diseases. In addition, the centre provides premarital screening and counseling, pre-employment screening, occupational health, travel health and disease control management services.
