Daman launches ‘Care’ insurance plan for Dubai and Northern Emirates
Daman, the National Health Insurance Company, has launched its new range of individual health insurance plans designed exclusively for the residents of Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
The Care Plan, featuring a number of variations, was created to address specific market demand by offering a range of flexible health insurance plans for individuals and families with different needs and budgets.
Introduced for the first time in the UAE health insurance industry, the Care Plan offers a renewal incentive of a guaranteed 5 per cent reduction on premium rates for each member with a claim-free year. In addition, the families of two or more members enrolled in the plan benefit will receive 5 per cent discount on the overall policy premium.
Daman’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Michael Bitzer said, “Our analysis of the market shows a rising demand by families outside Abu Dhabi for greater flexibility and cost-effective health insurance coverage across the Emirates. As the leading health insurance specialists, we are excited to bring these new, innovative plans for individuals and families in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.”
The Care Plans offer a wide range of existing services, new benefits, new medical coverage networks and are then sub-divided into tiers: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Chrome. This allows clients to select the level appropriate to their health insurance needs and budgets, offering them greater choice and flexibility.
Daman’s Chief Commercial Officer, Dr. Sven Rohte, said, “Purchasing a health insurance policy has proven to be a wise economical choice for families. With our Care Plans, the families enjoy the peace of mind knowing that they won’t have to risk their savings and educational investments should a family member unexpectedly require an expensive treatment.”
