Medical education role for Tawam Hospital planned

ABU DHABI - The General Authority for Health Services for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (GHAS) is considering to convert the Tawam Hospital to an educational hospital, attached to the UAE University.

Mohammed bin Butti Al Qubaisi, Director of the Office of Shaikh Hamid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Economic Department and Chairman of the Authority, said to enhance health services provided by Tawam hospital and to avail of the medical education of the UAE University, the authority is studying linking the two institutions. This came following a meeting held yesterday between Shaikh Hamid with an American team from Harvard University, headed by Professor Robert Crone.
